Global 4 sponsors annual Londis Charity Golf Day
Global 4 recently sponsored the 6th annual Londis Region 1 Golf Day at Dale Hill Golf Club & Hotel in East Sussex, in which members of the Global 4 team Simon Johnson and Carl Barnett participated.
This year’s event saw one of its largest ever turnouts with nearly 100 players and 114 attendees.
Londis, a local retailer owned by the Musgrave group with over 2,000 shops throughout the UK, organise the annual Golf Day to provide sponsors with the opportunity to meet Londis retailers in a relaxed environment. The event is also attended by Musgrave Group field and head office personnel.
There were numerous trophies and prizes up for grabs throughout the day including awards for the winning retailer, sponsor, Musgrave player and team. Global 4, being the preferred supplier to the group for telephone systems, lines and calls, kindly donated an NEC telephone system as a prize to the best scoring Londis retailer.
In addition to the day time events, a charity dinner and raffle was held in the evening, and it was a huge success raising over £1,800 for good causes.
In past years the supported charity was chosen by the Londis Regional Director, however this year it was decided that the winning Londis Retailer would have the opportunity to choose the charity he or she wished to support. On this occasion it was Kartic Patel who chose a charity which provides help & training to Deaf, Dumb & Blind children in Pune, India.
